So this is Micah's room..
It's not really a bedroom, it's actually the dining room in our apartment. And the dining room isn't actually a room in our apartment, its really a corner. We decided he doesn't need a real bedroom until we move, because he'll probably be in our room with us at night until then. But I'm still trying to make his corner room a nursery, because well he's our first baby! And we want a "nursery". So my problem right now is storage. His dresser has his clothes, bibs, burp cloths, blankets, and all that stuff. I'm trying to figure out where to put diapers, wipes and all that stuff I need easily accessible as I change him.
There is obviously no room on the left side of the dresser, and the right side we're planning on diaper genie and clothes hamper. So I think I'm going to have to put a shelf above the dresser and put the diapers in a basket on the shelf, but how high do I put the shelf so I don't bump his head, but I can still reach what I need? Obviously we have to move before he's old enough to turn the lights on and off, and adjust the temperature for me! :) And don't you just love that massive chip in his dresser that the Army did for us? We are waiting for the claims stuff to come through before it gets fixed.
I think you'll be pretty careful about his head. I'd be more concerned about reaching the shelf without the chance of knocking stuff off of it. I know when I have to stretch to reach, I become a clutz and drop/knock off what I wanted. Defiantly don't want to drop a basket on Micah!
ReplyDeleteAre you going to be storing extra things under his crib as well?
